This is a vintage 1940’s Mexican sterling silver sweater guard. Clip one end to each side of your open cardigan at the neckline, and the chain will hold it in place while you wear it unbuttoned or open. Each clip is 1.25 x 0.75 inches and is marked Taxco, Mexico, 925, eagle 3, ABB. The actual back clips and chain are alpaca.
