Old Margot De Taxco Sterling Hinged Earrings
This is a nice pair of old collectible vintage earrings by Margot de Taxco. The earrings have a sleek design with silver balls, and the mechanics of the earrings and how they work are so unique. They are a hinged design, and when you pull the panel back and wear them, they stay on your ears from the spring resistance. Each is marked and numbered 5247. They are 0.75 inches at widest across front face.

1940’s Abalone Sterling Sweater Guard Clips
This is a vintage 1940’s Mexican sterling silver sweater guard. Clip one end to each side of your open cardigan at the neckline, and the chain will hold it in place while you wear it unbuttoned or open. Each clip is 1.25 x 0.75 inches and is marked Taxco, Mexico, 925, eagle 3, ABB. The actual back clips and chain are alpaca.

Hector Aguilar Taxco Sterling Tie Bar or Clip
This is a hard to find vintage Hector Aguilar tie bar or money clip. It can also be worn as a jacket or dress clip facing down. Aguilar worked for William Spratling and left in 1939 to open his own shop Taller Borda. The peice is marked 990 which is higher silver content than sterling silver and the mark on the back dates between 1940-1945. It measures 2.5 inches at longest.

This is a nice vintage Los Castillo hinged cuff bracelet. It has a sleek modernist design and is marked Hecho en Mexico, Los Castillo, Taxco, Plateado 24. This is a pair of vintage 1940’s or 1950’s sterling silver pins with abalone inlay. The roadrunner pin is about 2.75 x 0.75 inches and is marked Sterling, Taxco, APS, 925 and eagle 3. Vintage Mexico Abalone Alpaca Necklace Set
This is a nice vintage alpaca necklace and earrings set. Alpaca is not sterling but a mixed alloy of metals. The fringed linked necklace has black and abalone chip inlay, and is 1 inch at longest drop, and about 16 inches in length. The linked earrings are very large and are 3.5 x 1.75 inches wide. They are both in excellent vintage condition although due to the metal mix, you can see some variations and more of a brassy color in some of the necklace links (see photo).
